CyraCom Wins Silver in 11th annual Best in Biz Awards

CyraCom’s New Telehealth Solution Wins Award

CyraCom has been named a silver winner in the Best New Services of the Year category for Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America.

About CyraCom’s Award-winning New Service: CyraCom Connect

In 2020, CyraCom released CyraCom Connect, a powerful tool for organizations that need access to language services during the COVID-19 pandemic. When organizations shifted from in-person meetings or appointments to video conferences for maintaining social distancing and lowering the risk of spreading COVID-19, they needed to provide limited-English proficient people with interpretation services. But remote interpretation service providers like CyraCom had never needed to develop teleconferencing abilities for their interpreter platforms—the demand up to this point was for the patient and the provider to be in the same room, viewing the same in-person screen of a video call.

That's why CyraCom quickly developed a solution: CyraCom Connect

CyraCom Connect allows organizations to invite a video interpreter to a virtual meeting or telehealth call arranged through their preferred teleconference platform, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Epic. CyraCom Connect works with over 15 different teleconference platforms and provides video interpreters for over 25 languages and audio interpreters for over 200 languages.

CyraCom Connect also won a Digital Health Award earlier this year. The Digital Health Awards awarded CyraCom bronze in the Digital Health: Telehealth / Remote Patient Monitoring category. The awards competition, now in its 23rd year, recognizes the best online health resources for both consumers and professionals.

About the 11th Annual Best in Biz Awards

2021 marked the 11th annual Best in Biz Awards. The 11th annual program saw intense competition among more than 700 impressively strong entries from public and private companies of all sizes and spanning all geographic regions and industries in the U.S. and Canada, ranging from some of the best-known global brands to the most innovative start-ups and irrepressible local companies. This year’s judges were impressed with the winning companies’ resilience and adaptability that allowed them to turn the challenges of the past 20 months into remarkable growth numbers, their exemplary dedication to their customers in matters small and large, and particularly, many winners’ efforts to maintain and deepen their commitment to the environment and local communities.

“The pandemic has changed how society operates in ways no company could have anticipated,” said Jeremy Woan, Chairman and CEO of CyraCom. “We are proud that Best in Biz Awards recognizes our innovative, quick response to these challenges.”
